My New Years Resolutions

Thursday 1 January 2015

2014 has been good to me, it really has. Its been the year I finally graduated, settled into a new home and Lily turned 2. Highlights of the year for me include being a bridesmaid at my best friends wedding, becoming an auntie to little Bigby, seeing Michael Buble and having a close family member make a really hopeful and positive step in his life. Most of all  though I've just loved watching Lily grow and learn, I absolutely adore the age she's at now!

I have a lot of resolutions for 2015, some big and some small...although I'd call them more of goals/plans than anything else.

1) I want to learn to cook new things and actually enjoy cooking. In my mind cooking has always been a bit of a chore as I'm always so tired by the end of the day and don't want to spent ages cooking in the evening. However that can be remedied with something like a slow cooker and it would do us all some good to have some hearty home cooked meals on a regular basis!

2)  Drink more water. I get to the end of most days and realise I've barely drunk all day. I'll have a lot of cuppas but not much else so drinking more water is a must.

3)  Expand our family. Lily is 2 now and I've always said I didn't want a massive age gap between my children so fingers crossed this year we get blessed with another little baba.

4) Have one evening a week without phones, laptops and ipads. Me and James have decided to do an evening a week without the above devices as both of us are really bad for always being on our phones. Once Lily's in bed we always go straight on our phones and computers and end up not paying each other much attention haha.  If it goes well I might even expand it to a day a week rather than just an evening!

5) Have my migraine operation. I've been on the waiting list for this particular operation for agges so hopefully this year I will finally get to have it. As scary as it is, its definitely set as a fixed point in my head as something to look forward to.

So there we have it! I actually have a lot more goals in my head but I'll be here all day if I were to type them all out haha so these are just the main ones

Here's to a happy and healthy 2015 for everyone!
