Home Decor - A Cute Place to Hang Your Keys

Tuesday 24 March 2015

If you're anything like me then you are forever losing your house keys! I would spent at least 10 minutes turning the house upside down looking for my keys before I could leave the house. Finally, I decided to do something about it and made a key hook...

Apologies for the lack of photos to accompany the step-by-step instructions - I did this over a year ago and never thought to take photos at the time! It's incredibly easy to do though and should literally take you no longer than 10 minutes max...

Using a normal wooden photo frame from Asda, I drilled 3 very small pilot holes evenly along the bottom of the frame (where the hooks would go). Be careful here though, make sure that you are drilling far enough away from the edge of the glass which sits just behind the lip of the frame. You don't want to drill into the glass and ruin the frame!

I then screwed 3 small screw hooks into the pilot holes and made sure they all faced the correct way!

Then with a bit of strong double sided tape I stuck my new key hook photo frame to the wall, complete with a funny picture of Lily on her first birthday :)

Easy, no more looking for my keys! Give it a go yourself and let me know how you get on in the comments below.
