This is me and Lily on our first ever mothers day. I love this photograph, we both look so happy! I'm not really sure what we're doing this mothers day.. it's really crept up on me! We usually just have a lazy morning and then go out for a mothers day lunch. Last year we drove to a pub in the countryside for a meal and to this day I honestly don't think I've had a better meal than that one, so we may do that again!
I can find eating out on mothers day a bit stressful though, restaurants and pubs are always so packed and the atmosphere is so busy it can be a bit hard to relax. On top of that there's always a long wait for food as there's so many people eating out - that's if your lucky enough to get a seat at all as more often than not these days you need to book in advance or risk being turned away at the door.

So yeah.. not really sure what we're doing yet. No matter where we decide to go or what we decide to do it will be busy so I'm sort of tempted to just have a relaxing day at home. A lie in, breakfast in bed and endless cups of tea sounds good to me ;)
