Archers Fifth Week

Friday 11 March 2016

This weeks been a bit of  mixed bag in terms of my emotions but my favourite week so far when it comes to Archie's development!

For the past few days we've had smiles, lots and lots of smiles!
It's just my favourite thing ever.
I've also noticed a lot more recognition from him this week too, he seems to be recognising objects and faces around him which is really lovely. He can be so grumpy but as soon as his face locks on to mine I'll get a massive smile which is beyond amazing. He's also started noticing brightly coloured objects like mobiles, there's one at my mum house which spins round and plays music and he's fascinated by it. I love all these small little developments that come on so fast!

I still haven't got Arch weighed yet but his 6 week check up is on Tuesday so I'll have more 'stats' by then. He seems to have gotten really long all of a sudden and he's completely out of his newborn clothes now and in to 0-3. I've had a few comments this week about how big he is and one lady said he looked like a 3 month old at playgroup the other day haha. He'll be taller than me before I know it!

Colic seems to have gotten worse this week which isn't ideal but hey ho. Poor munchkin also has oral thrush and I suspect a sore mouth because of it, which has made breastfeeding a bit of a nightmare for the first half of this week but we seem to be back on track with it now with the help of antibiotics.

Others than that there's not really been much to report. I've been in a pretty bad mood all week for reasons I can't quite put my finger on and so has Lily! She's been a total diva this week but I think she's just struggling with so much attention being on Arch, especially with his colic being so constant this week she's not had much one to one time.
We've not really been out much this week either so I'm hoping to get out more next week.
