My Productive Working Environment at Home

Wednesday 17 August 2016

I would so so love to have my own in home office for my blogging but unfortunately our house just isn't big enough for one. It's disappointing but doesn't mean that I can't create my own working environment using the space I have available, which is exactly what I've done.

I decided that our bedroom would be the best place to create a working space and to be honest it didn't take very long to set up at all.

My vintage style dressing table was purchased from Dunelm Mill a few years ago and although I had originally planned to use it to store all my beauty products and do my make up of a morning I've actually never really used it for that purpose. Instead it's just sat there in the corner being pretty much completely unused & so after coming to the realisation that I tend to just sit on my bed to do my make up I decided it would be perfect to use for my blogging instead.

I'm lucky enough that my bedroom is a nice bright space and that creates a really nice atmosphere for writing. The bits and bobs I have dotted around are all relatively cheap and most are actually from high street shops. The 'work hard' poster print, mint green table lamp and 'hello' phone stand are all from Wayfair. The wall grid was from Amazon and most of the postcards on there are from This Modern Life as was the lettering spelling out 'C R E A T E'. Whilst the pink notepad was from TK Maxx home, the stool, artificial plant and white photo frames were from IKEA and the clock and letter L from Homesense. Finally the 'whats life without adventure' plaque , earl grey candle and gold '&' sign I found in Primark. I think that just about covers everything!
I have collaborated with Wayfair to discuss what I think makes a great productive working environment at home, I'd love it if you could check it out.
