Dolls houses, Monochrome dungarees & Bears den | Little loves

Friday 3 March 2017

This is my first time joining in with little loves, how exciting! & how fast has this week gone!? It feels like only two minutes ago I was fighting off the Monday blues.

It's not been my usual kind of week this week as I've been struggling on and off with my sinuses for the past few days. My amazing mother has stepped in to help with the kids and has dropped Lily off at nursery all week and so I've had chance for plenty of much needed bed rest. I'm so very grateful for her. I'm also so glad it's Friday today! I always look forward to the weekend rolling around. We have an IKEA trip planned for this weekend and then I'm hoping to start re-decorating the living room if all goes to plan.

So onto what I've loved this week...

As I mentioned I've had a lot of bed rest this week and so I've actually had chance to read a book. An actual book with paper and ink and everything! The book in question is Dear Ross by Evelyn O'Rourke and although I'm still in the early stages of it I have to say it's turning out to be a really good read. It's about a woman who finds out she has cancer at the same time she discovers that she's pregnant and the story follows her cancer journey along with her determination to protect her unborn baby. I would really recommend.

Aside from YouTube I don't get the chance to do much watching of anything these days. Me & James did start watching The Following last weekend but aside from that the only thing I'm watching on a regular basis is Emmerdale. Yes I'm a total yorkhire stereotype haha but I frickin love that soap okay?

I'm a massive music fan, I honestly don't know how people don't listen to it on a daily basis! It's a part of my daily routine for sure. I always have the radio or music channels on in the background whilst I'm tidying and I have a play list on my Ipod that gets listened to religiously and updated often. A new song I've recently added to my play list is Bears den - Love we stole. I could listen to this song a thousand times over and not get bored of it, I really could.

We purchased a dolls house style shelf from IKEA recently and as it ended up being too heavy to fix to the wall I decided to make it into a sylvanian house for Lily's huge Sylvanian collection. I painted the plain wood a forest green colour and put in some wooden furniture and it's gone down a treat. I'm really quite chuffed with it!

It's been a very monochrome kind of week for the kids this week. I'm absolutely loving Turtledove London's dungaree range, which is what both are wearing in the above photos. I may have bought them some matching pairs as well ;) I can't wait for the summer days when they can wear dungarees without layers underneath. Hopefully those days are coming sooner rather than later!

I'm looking forward to shaking off this nasty sinusitis and getting back to our normal routine. Hope you've all had a lovely week!
