Little Loves - First shoes, Trashy tv & Oscar Wilde

Friday 24 March 2017

At last it's Friday! I say at last, it's actually been a very speedy week which has seen us through mortgage appointments, red nose day at nursery, an unusual amount of temper tantrums for the oldest, and a lot of heavy rain..
It's makes this post I wrote about spring last week a bit silly now.

As of today Arch is officially poorly. Or at least I think he is, he has a temperature and is feeling all sorts of sorry for himself. And why shouldn't he, being poorly is no fun! Talking of no fun, that's exactly what our weekend is probably going to be unless he makes a miraculous recovery over night. Fingers crossed...

Do motivational cards count? I'm really digging them recently. I ordered these a few days ago for my office space. Lets hope they do magically motivate me! ;)

I'm going to be total trash here and admit that I'm so happy that both Made in Chelsea and TOWIE are back on screen this week. It's a load of twod I know, but it's also the ultimate escapism tv for me. I am officially a trash tv addict.

'With freedom, books, flowers and the moon, who could not be happy?'
This quote by Oscar Wilde has cropped up on two separate occasions this week. It's one of my favourite quotes and its making itself known at a time where I'm trying to focus on the little things in life. If that's not a sign I don't know what is.

I would love to say I've been crafty this week but alas, I really haven't. I did make myself a new blog banner though. I've been meaning to update it for a while as I wanted something smaller and simpler - more minimalist I guess. I'm really enjoying the graphic design side of blogging recently and so it was lots of fun to do.

Please excuse the boxes of mess in the back ground. And the wonky un-finished gallery wall. We're in the middle of re-doing our living room and the whole room resembles a building site right now.
I'm loving this red checked shirt. It's quite a typical mom outfit isn't it? It's nice for casual day to day but looks smart with the buttons done, skinny jeans and heels. So it's win win. (not that I'll ever get chance to wear it for anything other than casual purposes let's be honest haha)

I'm still hung up on dungarees for Arch. I'm recently into the olden days type of clothing, if you know what I mean? Any early 1900's style and I'm sold.
Archer's first proper pair of shoes arrived his morning. It took me ages to find a pair I liked because apparently I'm very picky when it comes to boys shoes, who knew? (these are from Bobux if anyone's interested)
We're going to stay in a cottage in Filey on Monday and I'm really looking forward to it. So that gives Arch exactly 3 days to get better before then. I'm holding out for some good weather too.
