Easter Sunday - Picture heavy

Wednesday 19 April 2017

The Easter holidays are over and done with for another year. Lily's back at nursery, James is back at work, the left over chocolate is in the bin (before I get too tempted to finish it all off. I have no willpower) and the house is back to feeling very quiet. Or as quiet as it can be with a teething one year old.

I really like bank holidays. Friday comes around and knowing there's still days stretching ahead of us makes everything feel a whole less rushed.

I like that we actively didn't make many plans too. For a change. Especially since it only would have been a wash out with the wet weather anyway.

Friday and Saturday were pretty non existant in terms of plans - but in a good way, y'know? We stayed in both days, I got a whole heap of tidying done and James set up a water wall in the back garden.

Easter Sunday was good fun. We had a little mini easter egg hunt in the garden before going to my parents in the afternoon for their bigger and better Easter egg hunt which puts ours to shame every. damn. year. Haha.

As you can see by the pictures the weather turned at midday and the easter egg hunt at my parents got pretty soggy. Not that Lily and her cousins minded in the slightest, it was just a case of wellies and waterproofs on and back to the hunt. Archer sat there and ate bread and watched them all mournfully from behind the patio doors haha, bless him.

All in all a really good bank holiday weekend.
I could probably do with not touching chocolate for a while though. Whose with me?
