Our week in pictures #2

Wednesday 26 April 2017

It's hailing as I type this. I mean, hailing? Hello April showers. Ugh.

I'm fed up today. It's been one of those weeks where the weather has forced us inside every damn day of the week. We're bored. We're grumpy. And the house is cold.

This is not the Spring I was promised!

I can't help but let weeks like this affect my mood. Nothing bad has happened. Nothing to warrant feeling down in the dumps. But the mere fact that nothing has happened at all is depressing enough in itself.

I feel like I have nothing to write about. No pictures to take, except ones of the kids indoors. Same photos, different days.

I'm all crafted out. The house is beyond the normal stage of 'lived in' and at the send help stage.

When I'm in a bad mood, it really shows in my writing. But as this blog isn't just about the positives, it's about all facets of parenthood I felt it was better to write something for this weeks week in pictures, rather than nothing at all. Even if it just a few lines of me grumbling.

Hopefully next week I'll be slightly more cheery! ;)

  4. You have a beautiful home though! I love the fireplace details, just gorgeous! I'd love to live in a house with a bit of character. Ours is a new build and very much lacking on that front! Wishing you some sunshine soon!

  5. Those are such wonderful photographs. I really hate weeks when the weather keeps everyone indoors. They are so hard. And they make me grumpy too. I wish I had a house like yours to stay indoors in though. Gorgeous. Hugs Lucy xxxx
