Our Week In Pictures #6

Monday 14 August 2017

I'm typing this on a grey and wet Monday morning, sat on my sofa in a woolly jumper and a blanket. I can't help but think this isn't how the summer holidays should be!? Bloody UK.
(I actually watched a weather expert on 'This morning' a few days ago who said that everything has been pushed forward a month this year and so summer technically ended at the end of July. I mean how depressing!?)

That being said the weather in the past week has actually been tolerable. Not overly sunny, apart from a few odd evenings, but dry at least and I feel like I've actually made the most of the week, for a change.

So on to this weeks photos

This was a day toward the start of the week. Last Monday I think. Archer was still recovering from last weekend and Lily had a play date and so myself and Arch had a blanket day. I needed to snap a photo of his Mr Tumble concentration face. Hilarious.

A rare evening of sunshine in my parents garden. Summer evenings with golden light. They're so few and far between but god do I love them so.

These photos were taken yesterday. We went for a late Sunday afternoon walk locally which was really nice. (Meanwood Farm for any Yorkshire bloggers out there!)

I've also managed to fit in a lot of time for myself this week which I think has had a really positive effect on my mood. I had chance to go for lunch with my oldest girl friends mid week and on Saturday me and James hosted a garden party. I didn't think i'd get the opportunity to do things like this in the summer holidays and it's been really lovely to socialise (with actual real grown up people haha) and I'm finding myself feeling more like me again. Let's see what next week brings!

  2. Gorgeous photo's as normal. I don't think I take more than a couple of decent pictures a week so I would never be able to do a post like this.

  3. Gotta love a blanket day! I wish I took more everyday photos of the children for posts like these. I tend to only take them when we actually go out and do actitvies but it's the little things which really make the memories x
