Our Week in Pictures #10

Monday 9 October 2017

Without being overly dramatic this past week has been the week from hell ommmmgg! Haha. I think I have to laugh otherwise I'd cry (again)! It started off bad with each day getting progressively worse and worse, culminating in a horrendous Sunday evening where my partner accidentally deleted my entire photo collection and Lightroom settings and we're unable to get them back. I cried pretty much the entire night last night ðŸ˜ž

So I'm basically typing this on a Monday morning with little to no motivation, wondering how the hell I'm going to start again from scratch and asking myself whether it's even worth it.

But it is. I know that at the back of my mind, I think I just need a few days to wallow in self pity and grieve the photos that will never be before I build a bridge and get over it.

As you can imagine after such a rubbish week, the photos from the last 7 days aren't all that great. There's things from the week like Archers behaviour and the several nasty falls he had that I can't even bring myself to write about because I'm too flipping exhausted by it all but rest assured losing my photos isn't the only reason why the week was so bad.

The first bunch of photos this week were taken in the garden. On our rare dry days the garden is the best place to entertain the kids when Lily's back from school. Now the leaves are coming down our hideous patchy grass looks much more snapshot worthy so expect garden photos to probably feature heavily over the coming months ;)

The middle photos I adore. Not my best work by far but I'm so glad I chose to take my camera on a day that the kids were being so sweet on the school run. Archer will hold big sisters hand and her hand only when walking to/back from school and it melts my heart, their little bond. The photos directly below were taken from the same day, same school run, after we dropped Lily off. We took a short cut through the woods and Arch was in a foul mood with that banana being the only thing keeping him (and me) sane. Funny how photos can tell a thousand lies isn't it, because he looks so happy in them ðŸ˜‚

Sunday started off well and the below photos are from Sunday afternoon. I spent the morning seeing my one week old nephew baby Wilf and even though I was back home by lunchtime we didn't manage to leave for Temple Newsam till gone 3'oclock. Not ideal when it closes at 5 and there's so much the kids wanted to do there. I always find that when James is around at the weekend we seem to be 10 times slower in leaving the house, and that it's 10 times more stressful! Does anyone else find that with their partners? You'd think two pairs of hands would be quicker than one but nope ðŸ˜‚

  4. Gorgeous photo's as always. I think I would be traumatised if I lost all my photo's too. Some weeks are hard, some times children are a pain in the behind, but I find they manage just enough cute to avoid being put up for adoption
