Weekend Watch - 17 Nov

Tuesday 21 November 2017

As I type this I'm currently sitting on THE most comfortable sofa in front of a log fire in a lodge in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales. Would you believe it? Yes me and James are on our first kid free holiday in five years and although we've only been here a matter of hours i'm in HEAVEN

I intend to chat about it properly in this weeks week in pictures post so for now I'll post about the time we spent with our two munchkins over the weekend.

Friday is always a day that seems to go fast in our household. Not entirely sure why?

This Friday was no different though. We had a relaxed morning at home before we went to do a food shop at Lidl. I ended up buying all Archers Christmas presents for £40 as they have a huge range of lovely wooden vehicles, car parks and railways in at the moment so I was chuffed. (Keep an eye out for the next Friday Favourites post as they'll definitely be featuring)

In the afternoon my little brother came round and we took Archer for a little walk before Lil finished school. I love the photos from that afternoon. They look so Autumnal don't they? Big thanks to my littlest bruv because he got some lovely photos of me & Arch that I definitely want to print out and put up at some point soon.

Saturday went by equally fast as Friday because we had so much on. Lily had her swimming lesson in the morning (she's doing so so well) and then I took her to a school friends party in the afternoon followed by a little girlie Christmas shopping trip just me and her. We went round Smyths toy store and she pointed out everything she's putting on her Christmas list for Santa, which of course was about 3/4 of the entire shop *eyeroll*

On Sunday morning we got out and about with the kids quite early. Partly because it's so much more peaceful going out in the morning I find. Does it sounds weird to say the air feels fresher? And partly because by 9am we were totally done with their squabbling and needed to get out of the house 😂

We walked round Temple Newsam and it was nice in the early hours. It was cold, but pleasantly so and the winter sun helped boost our moods I think. We stopped off to explore my favourite greenhouse and the kids played several rounds of hide and seek amongst the greenery. I have a weird love for greenhouses and have done ever since I was small. I have really fond memories of helping my late grandad Tom out with his as a child and absolutely adoring it. Seriously, to have a greenhouse of my own is the dream!
