Mama Style with Simply Be*

Thursday 11 January 2018

A company I find myself coming back to time and time again are Simply Be. I have worked with them in the past and have always remained impressed by the varied range of clothes available. When they got in contact recently and asked me try out some of their clothes once again, I knew I wouldn't have to worry about finding something I liked.

My first pick was the tie sleeve embroidered shirt in the pale coral shade which you can find here. I've mentioned in style posts before how much I adore oversized blouses/shirts and this one didn't disappoint as it provided me with an outfit oversized enough for me to feel completely comfortable in without becoming shapeless. The embroidery is gorgeous, another weakness of mine, and I really loved the whole look of it when I tried it on. I should probably mentioned that I chose this particular shirt in a size larger than the size I actually am in order to achieve the over-sized look as that is the sort of style I go for, however for anyone not wanting the oversized look choosing their regular size would be just fine.

Of course it's impossible to get a photograph without the kids getting in. *eyeroll*

Next I went for the high waist shaper jeggings because I'm desperately in need of a pair of jeans that provide a nice look without me having to do some major sucking in! Jeggings seemed the best bet for that and the shaper element can only be a good thing. After trying these on I can confidently say that these are officially the comfiest pair or jeggings I own! I'm a little bit in love with them. Since having Archer I'm currently at my heaviest weight and my pre pregnancy jeans don't fit in the way the used to and so I've been sticking to jeggings and leggings for the past 18 months or so. Leggings I'm not overly a fan of because they really restrict what I can wear on the top half and the jeggings that I own all seem to have that flimsy thin material that is very similar to leggings. It would probably take both hands for me to count the amount of jeggings I've gone through thanks to holes in the seams! The material of this pair however is the exact same as a pair of jeans would be - thick and proper denim, the only difference being that instead of a button and/or zip at the top there is just a stretchy waist band, similar to the style in which you would see in maternity jeans. Seriously comfy and actually look no different to any regular pair of jeans. I'm really really pleased with them, the dusky indigo colour being totally up my street and they've become a firm favourite in my wardrobe already.

I also went for a pair of the pull on slim leg jeggings which are very similar in style and colour to the shaper pair. I did however find that they were a bit baggier than the shapers, interesting as they're marketed as slim leg however on closer inspection I noticed that I accidentally ordered the long length pair which would explain the extra room around the knees.

My final choice from Simply Be was a casual but cute pyjama set which you can find here. Again pyjamas are something that I'm severely lacking in. I'm quite lazy when it comes to bedtime and tend to just pull on a vest top and old joggers but I've come to realise that pyjama sets are the way forward in the winter! I love the fact that the top is long sleeved because how cold is it at night recently!? and the slogan Hello Weekend is a nice added touch too. The bottom half are a lot like leggings except in a soft pyjama material and really comfortable to sleep in. There's lots of great choice on Simply Be's lounge wear section with a lot of pyjamas currently on sale.

It's been great to work with Simply Be again and I implore you to check out their range, you might find yourself pleasantly surprised!
