Week in Pictures #22

For the past week we have been spending our time at Forest Holidays Keldy site.

I can't even find the words to explain how amazing our stay here was. To state that it was exactly what I needed feels more apt tbh. I've gotten myself in a bit of a rut back home without even realising it and I think it really only occurred to me whilst I was away. Being out in the open, the fresh air, countryside and forests made me SO happy, it really made me think about the things I need to start prioritising.

All that vagueness aside (ha) I of course took the camera along with me and I of course ended up taking about ten thousand photos which you can see below. 

Much of the week was spent exploring the surrounding wilderness (Keldy forest is like nothing I've ever seen before, it's SO beautiful, incredibly so - I don't even have the words). However we also spent a day at Piglets adventure farm which was so worth the trip (I implore any parents to take their kids, it's a kids wonderland and we could have easily spent the entire day there) along with York Lavender Park which was much less impressive mainly due to the fact that it was the wrong time of the season and there was barely any lavender there, ha ha. 

Told you there was a lot of pictures! For anyone thinking about booking a forest holiday and wanting more info I do intend on doing a more in depth review of the whole experience at some time in the near future; but to briefly sum up - the site was beautiful, 100% would return, the kids spent so much of their time in the hot tub that it's definitely worth paying the extra for however the more expensive accommodations described as luxury I found are actually far from and so I'd recommend getting one of the cheaper options as there are others available (that still provide a hot tub)
