A few weeks ago I posted that I went a bit crazy at Ikea and bought a lot of photo frames..well I finally put them to good use and set up a picture wall in Lily's room! Although it isn't completely finished yet, I'm really pleased with how it looks and I intend to keep adding to it as I go. Having one specific feature wall or picture wall enables you to include wall art to a room without the feel of making a room 'cluttered.' or less spacious.

This weekend was a pretty relaxing one. We spent most of it pottering round the house and on Sunday afternoon we took a trip to the local park to wear bambi out which she very much enjoyed!

     What is one of your favourite photos of your child and why?


This might seem like a strange choice of photo. You can't see Lily's face, its not a newborn pic or a 'first birthday' pic or a first smile or any other of the types of photos you'd expect to see as a favourite. I actually only took this photo a couple of the weeks ago and I just love what this photo represents; the fragility and simplicity of childhood. The fun that children create for themselves and in Lily's case, the pleasure they can get from the simple act of chasing an oversized ball up and down the garden! She was having such fun and thought it was hysterical! 

I also like the way the lighting turned out in this picture, the shadows of the trees and the fact you can see James laughing at her in the background :)

As I've mentioned on my Youtube Lily was the flower girl at my best friends wedding and these are the gifts the bride and groom got her to say thankyou which I think are so cute! The bracelet is absolutely beautiful and Lily wore it on the day as part of her outfit. The doll is totally adorable and Lily is obsessed with it! If anyone is planning a wedding and is stuck for ideas for flower girl gifts, I think these make really great keepsakes :)

Today I went to Ikea and decided to pick up a few bits for Lilys room. I didnt have a very big budget so was pleased to find all these photo frames, each about £5 that would go perfectly in lilys room. I also picked up a small shelf unit for £10 and some white curtains for £12. I'll make sure to take pictures of them in her room once they are are all put up :) God bless Ikea!

Ten Things About ME!

Hiya! As I'm just starting out this blog I thought I'd do a little get to know me post by doing 10 facts about myself!

1. My name is Abigail Bryony and I'm 24 years old!
2. I found out I was pregnant at 21 and am now proud mum to my nearly 2 year old daughter Lily who is the absolute best thing to ever ever happen to me <3
3. I live in Leeds and graduated university with a 2:1 in July. Since then I've been a SAHM and I love it!
4. This isn't my first time blogging. I blogged throughout my pregnancy with lily and did monthly updates on the first year of her life, however now I have more time I wanted to start a blog that focussed on what both me and Lily get up to - things such as hauls,what we wore, where we've been etc. For anyone whose interested my old blog is here - Old blog
5. I also have a Youtube channel which I try to update regularly - Lily Mae Adventures
6. I have suffered from chronic migraines since I was a young child and can easily say that they are horrific and under acknowledged by the NHS :(
7. Career wise I currently have no idea what I want to do! My ambitions really lie within the home right now and career can come later.
8. My boyfriend James and I have been together since we were 18, about 5 and a half years.
9. My guilty pleasure is reality TV. TOWIE, Big Brother, Made in Chelsea you name it...I watch it all! ;)
10. We have big plans for 2015! We would love to give Lily a brother or sister and hope to start house hunting towards the end of the year (finances permitting!)
