Imperial Candles Review

Sunday 12 April 2015

This year for Valentines Day James got me an Imperial Candle. He knows how much I love candles and I knew he was going to buy me one so I asked for an Imperial one as I've heard so much about them recently.

Imperial candles are hand poured soy candles that come in a range of different scents. Their USP is that each candle has a piece of jewellery inside that ranges from £10 to £2,000 in value, plus a chance to win an iPad. Imperials Candles are around the £20-£30 mark and considering this is the price I would happily pay for say, a Yankee Candle, it really does seem to be good value for money

So is it too good to be true?

James bought me the English Pear & Vanilla scent and I really like the smell - A fresh scent that's strong but not too overpowering. However that being said I am quite easy to please when it comes to candle scents, there's not many I don't like! The candle has 2 wicks so that it burns down evenly and it took about 3 hours of burning before my jewellery became visible.

Inside the candle was a nice little ring with an RRP of £25.00. The ring itself wasn't really to my taste but then I wasn't expecting it to be because I'm super picky when it comes to my jewellery! However considering James paid somewhere between £20 & £30 for the candle its great value that it came with a £25 ring. I measured my ring size and chose it on the website when ordering and the ring was definitely true to the size as it fit perfectly. The only negative that I have to say is that there isn't a very wide range of jewellery sizes on the website so you may be unable to get a ring candle if they don't have your size. Hopefully this is something the company will change in time though.

Although the jewellery is definitely the USP to Imperial Candles I was so impressed with the scent and overall look of the candle that I'd buy it without the jewellery too. I'm definitely impressed with Imperial Candles and will be buying again.
