Friday Favourites #8

Saturday 16 January 2016

I don't know why I've scheduled Friday Favourites for Saturday, stupid baby brain! but hey ho. Most of the favourites from this week are baby related items as I'm well and truly in the nesting phase. We've been doing the house up a bit and it's slowly but surely getting there..

First up is this pastel yellow flag from Tiger Lilly. This online store is amazing, it sells all sorts of different things and I wish I'd discovered it sooner! Unfortunately the owner is shutting up shop but there's currently a great closing down sale so go check it out. I have such a thing about flags! I've seen loads of really nice monochrome ones which I have my eye on for if we end up doing a monochrome nursery for the baby but I spotted this one and thought it was perfect for Lily's room. I love the colour, it goes with the rest of her room as it's all quite colourful and I love the quote 'hello sunshine.'

How adorable are these milestone cards, I love them! The perfect way to document those baby milestones. These ones are Saffy Boo ones that were around £5.99 on Amazon.

We have a spare room in our house that's always been used for nothing more than hording. This week as the nesting kicked in I decided to actually make some use of the space. We bought a big chest of drawers from Ikea - mainly for the baby's clothes and some of Lily's as she has so many that they spill out of her own draws! You can't see the size of the draws in this photo but it's this £79 Malm one. This chest of draws also has such a spacious top surface that it can also be used as a changing surface for the baby which saves us having to get our old changing table out from the loft as I wasn't too keen on it anyway. We also bought some IKEA shelves and I intend to make a little book corner with a bean bag next to the draws for lily to sit and read whilst I change the baby. I feel better for finally making the most of the space!

Last but not least is this gorgeous headband I recently found on Etsy. Now we dont know if we're haing a boy or girl of course but I just couldn't help myself! It will be going in my hospital bag just incase and if we are having another girl then I can't wait to use it in her newborn photos. If we're having a boy then no worries as I know plenty of tiny baby girls who can make use of it instead!

  1. Ah love all the bits! That hello sunshine banner is lovely! We have recently been buying new furniture and doing up all our bedrooms in the house. It feels so good as we also bought more storage for the thousands of toys the kids got over Christmas, Disneyland and Islas Birthday! xx

    1. It's so therapeutic sorting out rooms isn't it, puts me in a good mood! Storage units are definitely the way forward, they're just so expensive! x
