Behind the Business with Toadstools & Tippytoes

As a serial 'small shopper' I decided to start a new series focusing on different small businesses by chatting to the often over looked faces behind them. Not only is it lovely to learn more about the businesses that I purchase from regularly it's also a great way of recommending these exceptional small shops to the wider parenting blogger community

This week I have been talking to from Kelle from Toadstools & Tippytoes. Toadstools & Tippytoes is an enchanting online shop that sells all things fairy related whether that be wands, jewellery or materials and accessories to build your own fairy gardens. I adore the concept and we've already purchased a whole heap of crafts kits from Kelle and her fairy friends!

Hi there! Tell me a bit about yourself:

I’m Kelle or sometimes known as (Fairy Willow) owner of Toadstools & Tippytoes. I’m also mummy to my own little fairy who’s just started school.

My love for all things magical and fairies started at a very young age. I was forever creating magic potions, looking for fairies and loving the outdoors. Now as mummy to a gorgeous little girl , it’s such a dream to see her following in my footsteps. She is creative and loves magic, and is my biggest inspiration in all I create.

Tell us about Toadstools & Tippytoes?

We design magical experiences and are dedicated to creative play through storytelling, crafting and enchanted minds. Everything we design and make holds these core values. Unforgettable magical memories and materials that last a lifetime and are cherished beyond childhood.

Imagination

All activities are designed to let your own imagination be the guide, none of our kits come with instructions, it’s up to you what you make. We believe in open-ended play that inspires parents and kids.

Nature

Fairies just love wildlife and looking after insects, birds and other animals. We feel passionate about getting your child outdoors everything we make has been inspired by nature and we firmly believe in this close connection.

Fairy Wise

There is no substitute for the beauty of authentic materials. Natural Materials have the potential to draw you in, make you want to stay and explore a little (or a lot), try new things, create and wonder. Wood, Moss and Dried Rose Buds create the most magical smell, so that your fairies will love the multi-sensory possibilities with these kits and enjoy building solving problems and much more.

I hope the magic and wonder we add to our products will leave you feeling inspired and creative.

How did you come up with the name?

The name was actually from a friend who helped me brand our magic! Being so close to the products I really enjoyed having help from someone looking from the outside in at the business.

Who or what inspires you?

Inspiration is drawn from everywhere we live in such a beautiful area with lots of woodland. I’m always inspired by nature, music and my daughter.
