As you all probably already know yesterday morning was the solar eclipse. The last time a solar eclipse occurred I was just a kid and my parents took me and my brothers to the top of the moors to watch it and I remember it being so exciting. Me, my mum and cousin decided to do the same again this time round so we packed a picnic and off we went to the moors at 8am in the morning.
Leeds was supposed to get 78% darkness but to be honest for us it was absolute rubbish! It seriously didn't get dark at all although I think ironically we ended up being worse off by being at the top of the moors as it was so foggy and cloudy up there you could barely see anything..ah well! We still had a fun morning and having our picnic on the cliff edge (I kept a tight hold of Lily!) was a lovely way to start the morning.
