What's in Lily's Easter Basket

Monday 30 March 2015

I'll be the first to admit that I've gone waaay OTT with Lily's Easter basket this year! I talked in a previous post about how much I love Easter and all things to do with bunnies so it was hard not to get carried away! I wanted to start off the tradition of Easter Baskets but felt like Lily was a bit too small last year so have started this year instead. I want her Easter Baskets to be less about chocolate and more about all things crafty and colourful as I'm sure she'll be getting plenty of chocolate eggs from relatives when she gets older!

I went into town yesterday and set myself a budget of £10 but like I said, I may have got slightlyyy carried away so that budget has been completely blown out of the water.. oh well ;)

So, what's in Lily's Easter basket?

First of all I found this picnic basket at Tk Maxx for £14.99 (so there's the budget gone already haha) I've totally fallen in love with this basket.. it will be perfect for picnics in the summer so we can get lots of use out of it and is big enough to hold all Lily's Easter bits in too.

Here is the craft section. We have a paint your own Easter egg kit, a make your own bunny mask and a cute Easter purse with marshmallows in but can be used to hold other things after the marshmallows are gone. These are all from Home Bargains who I have to say have an amazing Easter range and its all so cheap! The paint your own Easter egg set is £1.49, the bunny mask is 99p and the Easter purse is also 99p.

Here is the 'bits and bobs' section. From Home Bargains again we have a 5 pack of decorative rabbit sticks perfect for Easter photo props, a pack of wooden decorations and a garden sign - again perfect for those Easter photographs, an egg cup, some soft Easter bunnies and a rabbit night-light that will look so cute in Lily's room and was only £2! I looked high and low for some sort of Easter book for Lily's basket but couldn't find one so instead picked this 3 in 1 fairytale treasuries book that I knew she'd like just as much. It was an absolute bargain at 79p!

These are what I like to think of as the Easter Fashion section of Lily's basket. The bunny ears headband was again from Home bargains, the floral headband is from Claire's Accessories and the shoes are £10 from Next. I adore these shoes so much and feel like they will go perfectly with a cute dress at Easter however I'm not sure whether I'm going to manage to keep them hidden from Lily for another week haha.

Last but not least is this straw rabbit - £12 from TK Maxx. I'm ever so slightly in love with it, its something a bit different from the normal soft plush Easter toys and I know Lily will love it too!

So that concludes Lily's Easter basket. I'm so looking forward to doing the Easter crafts with her and seeing her in her little Easter outfit. I've done a 'Whats in Lily's aster basket' video over on my YouTube, if you'd like to see that too;

Have any of you done an Easter basket for your little ones? If so then leave me the link below, I would love to see!
