CBeebies Event at Trinity Leeds

Monday 6 April 2015

Last weekend Trinity shopping centre in Leeds was host to a one day Cbeebies event called 'Dancing Beebies.' The Dancing Beebies event was held to celebrate the forthcoming CBeebies Elves And The Shoemaker – a programme featuring Leeds’ own Northern Ballet’s latest children’s production, which will be shown on the kids’ TV channel on Easter Monday at 5pm.

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this event was, there was so much for little ones to do and see and all for free!

To give you an idea of how much there was going on here is the official list;

First Floor

CBeebies Cinema - The new Cbeebies Elves & the Shoemaker show will be screened at the cinema to pre-ticketed families.

Storytelling – Come and join Alex and Rebecca from Cbeebies as they take turns to read dance-related stories to children.

Come and Dance - Children will be able to learn to dance themselves in these half-hour workshops run by Northern Ballet.

Ground Floor

Make and Do - Children can get crafty making their own Elves hats and learn to tie shoelaces in this hands-on area.

CBeebies Lab – Join the mad professors on a tour of the CBeebies lab and test the latest games and shows. We’re looking for lots of little opinions to tell us what they think!

Lower Ground

Main stage - Mr Bloom hosts our dance stage with performances every hour from Northern Ballet and a variety of local dance groups.

Can you believe there was all that for free!? Lily really was in her element. We stayed on the ground floor and watched all the dancers for aggges but Lily was definately most excited by the fact Mr Bloom was presenting. She kept waving at him manically and shouting 'Mr BLOOOOOOOOOM' and when he finally noticed her and gave her a wave she was the happiest little toddler alive lol!

We also spent a fair bit of time at the craft section making elves hats which Lily really enjoyed and she wasn't even a little bit phased by the camera crew sticking a giant camera in her face. Probably because mummy does the same thing at home allll the time haha.

Unfortunately it was far to crowded to see the Cbeebies lab or listen to the storytelling but really that was our own faults as we arrived quite late. It was such a good event for them to put on, we were seriously impressed!
