Sometimes I look at Lily and I'm astounded by how different we are. Whilst I'm cautious and prefer to play it safe, Lily is adventurous, unpredictable and down right fearless.
I'm that kind of girl that has never dared to go a rollercoaster and never will. I can guarantee that when Lily is old enough to go to theme parks she will be the type of girl who is first in those rollercoaster queues!
We went for a walk this afternoon and I watched her climbing rocks and steep hills and I marvelled at what an adventurer she is. I love the way she's so fascinated with the outdoors and how she has to stop to look at every beetle and smell every flower. When she wanted to take a short cut up an insanely sharp slope covered in stinging nettles on the way home I told her I didn't think it was the best idea but she grabbed my hand and said 'Don't be scared mummy, I'm with you'
She's got my number let me tell ya! I know she's only two but her courage and bravery inspires me every day. I'm so proud of my little explorer.
