This weekend has been lovely, the suns been out and so has the pimms!
On Thursday myself and my mum took Lily and the two children she looks after out for a walk in Temple Neusam. It was a scorching hot day and Lily and Harrison had a whale of a time running around together. They really are partners in crime I love it! We took a walk around the gardens which were so beautiful, we're definitely going to be going back when James gets his new camera!
On Saturday morning me and James decided to take Lily for a walk to wear her out. We were hoping she would nap when we got home as we had a BBQ planned for the afternoon and didn't want her to be grumpy! We ended up in our favourite woods but decided to take a different path and we got completely lost. I think we ended up going round in circles about 3 times and we were no closer to finding the carpark! After about 2 hours of wandering and taking it in turns to carry a tired little Lily (the one time we dont take the pram grr!) we ended up asking a dog walker who kindly showed us the way back. God knows how but we'd ended up walking miles out...oops!
The BBQ in the afternoon was lovely although the weather typically got a lot colder as soon as everyone arrived. Lily stayed for a few hours and then my mum kindly took her for the night so that me and James could have a few drinks. Sunday, another hot day, was spent between the park and our local milkshake bar and the day ended with a play in James mums garden before home for bed.
I feel like this weekend isn't going to be one I forget in a hurry.
