Weekend Watch | 11.07

Monday 13 July 2015

This weekend has been what I would class quite simply as a good one. A nice weekend. An unusually stress free weekend. A jolly good weekend at that.

These type of weekends have been quite few and far between recently because of my health, my migraines in particular, so I really appreciated having a weekend that I really enjoyed this week.

On Saturday I vowed to myself to sort out the cupboards in our bedroom, cupboards that are hording more crap than you'd believe possible. Whilst I slaved away sorting rubbish into bin bags and tidying things away (it was actually a lot less stressful than it sounds - I had endless cups of tea and the new teen mom to watch) James took Lily round to see his sister and they took Lily and little cousin Ava for a walk in Golden Acre.

James came back with a lovely series of photographs of Lily hanging from a branch in the park and oh my word I adore them so much. I want to get one on a canvas, I just can't decide which!

Sunday morning started with blanket forts (but of course!) & lots of tea, toast and Cbeebies. What are Sundays for, eh!

The weather looked to be nice in the afternoon so we decided to go back to Golden Acre park and have a picnic in the corn field where James had taken the photo's the previous day.

Strangely enough we actually bumped into a group of our friends whilst we were there who were also having a picnic (I say strangely enough because its not by any means a local park for any of us!) and we ended up sitting and eating with them which was lovely. Between them they had 3 mini sized dogs and Lily was in doggy heaven as she really loves dogs lately - Especially the little ones - "They're soo cute mummy!"

We snapped a few more pictures in our new favourite field and with our tummies full of strawberries and pringles we headed off home.
So there you have it. A good weekend, No, a great one, was had by all
