Weekend Watch - 12.03.16

Monday 14 March 2016

The sun has been out all weekend and I can't tell you what a difference it's made! Its funny how blue skies and some dry weather can make you feel so happy. It really has the power to do a 360 to your mood.

I woke up on Saturday morning and it was still quite grey and cold but by lunchtime the clouds had shifted and so we decided to make the most of it and head out. We went to Golden Acre park which is one of my favourite parks in Leeds but it seemed everyone else had the same idea as it was crazy busy.

We put Lily in her old clothes as I knew it would be muddy but I forgot to put her wellies on so her boots got RUINED..total parenting fail! However it does give me an excuse to buy her some new shoes so it's not all bad! We headed to Asda after the park as we had nothing in for tea and it ended up being a bit of a mare with an over tired Lily and a hungry Archie in tow! We ended up having to tag team them round the shop..parents of three or more, I dont know how you do it! Me and James ended up spending £30 on junk food out of pure stress haha!

Sunday was such a beautiful day. I could tell it was going to be from the moment I woke as there was so much golden light streaming in through the window. The air had that hazy kind of feel to it that in the summer usually lets you know it's going to be a baking hot day and it's really made me excited for the upcoming months.

I took Lily and Archer to the park early to meet some friends for coffee and cake. Lily had a fudge brownie and a bit of hot chocolate and the chocolate rush was instant, she was prancing around the cafe with wild abandon ha.
The afternoon was spent with the patio doors open and playing in the garden. It's the first time the patio doors have been open in the best part of a year and it was nice to see Lily playing in the garden after so long too. She took all her dollys out and pushed them on the swing and me and Archer sat and watched her from the garden bench. Well, I watched, he napped. ;)

I took the opportunity to take this months sibling project photos too and I'm really pleased with how they came out, although I'll save those pictures for the actual post. It's been such a nice weekend and the perfect mixture of relaxed and busy. Fingers crossed for blue skies and hazy days this weekend too.
