LapBaby Review

Monday 16 May 2016

There's no denying that having a small baby is tough. I've always just accepted that the first 6 months of having a little one means having zero hands free time and therefore no routine whatsoever. The dishes are constantly dirty and there's piles of laundry all over the house but I've found I don't mind all this as much as I thought I would. I love all the teeny tiny baby cuddles I'm getting right now and although Arch is my velcro baby if he's anything like Lily was it means he'll suddenly become super independent as soon as he learns to sit up and all of a sudden my arms will be empty again. That being said there are things that do mean a lot to me such as blogging and photography that are going by the wayside right now simply because I don't have the hands free time to do it .

It's only since getting my hands on the LapBaby that I've realised it doesn't have to be this way at all.

The LapBaby is essentially a lap belt that secures tightly around you allowing baby to sit comfortably within it and enabling you to have hands free time whilst still giving your baby the comfort of being close to you. This is perfect for Arch who is 3 months and is at the stage where he wants to do more that he can. By this I mean that he just constantly wants to be sat upright on our knee. He doesn't like being in any kind of wrap and gets so angry if we lie him back in our arms like we did as a newborn unless he's sleepy.

I've used the LapBaby several times since it arrived last week and Arch absolutely loves being in it. He's super nosy and enjoys facing out and watching Lily in it whilst still having the comfort of being close to me and I've managed to get so much blogging done whilst he's happy and occupied, it's great! One of my favourite things about the LapBaby is that it folds up into a really small little bag which you can easily fit inside your own hand bag or changing bag and there's a few extra features that make the lap baby even better too.

It comes with a toy clip to attach a toy to which is ideal for Arch whose all of a sudden become obsessed with holding on to things. This will benefit him even more when he learns to reach out for things too! There's also a wipe clean lap cloth which is helpful as I'm forever spilling food on him as I try and quickly eat whilst holding him haha!

The lap baby retails at £24.99 and is suitable for babies who can hold their own heads up. This product is a game changer for us, now I'll have plenty of hands free time, let the blogging re-commence!

You can find the LapBaby to purchase here and don't forget to check out their Facebook Instagram and Twitter pages too!
