Weekend Watch - 30.4.16 | Our Enchanted Woodland

This weekend was a bit of a special one. Worlds apart from the lazy weekends we've been having recently as it was James' sisters wedding.

I love weddings, I really do, and this one was no exception. ❤

The atmosphere at a wedding is always so lovely. every single person is just happy and I love the fact that everyone is celebrating two families joining together. I'm such an old romantic!

I can't pretend there wasn't parts of the day that weren't really stressful though. Lily and her little cousin Ava's job as flower girls was to walk down the aisle first with the bride and James dad behind them. We told the girls to walk slowly so that they didn't race down the aisle but they took it to the extreme and walked so slowly that they came to a halt in the middle of the aisle and held the bride up! Then Lily did her 'funny walk' the rest of the way down the aisle and her and Ava squabbled all the way through the vows over which seat to sit on. Sorry Laura!

James took Lily up on the stand in church to do his reading and she was supposed to sing her made up song about love, which goes - "Love I much. Love I much. Love I very much today" (and repeat!) She managed to sing the first line into the microphone before getting shy and stopping bless her. It was more than I thought she'd manage!

The reception afterwards was perfect. Lovely buffet, a sweets table (Lily was in her element!) and the most emotional speeches, followed by a disco.

Arch looked so dapper in his little 4 piece suit. I thought he'd spit up on it within 10 minutes but amazingly he lasted the whole time in it. Lily looked perfect in her flower girls dress too with her little curls and she stayed up partying all night. I was so proud of them both! `
