Weekend Watch - 04.03.17

Wednesday 8 March 2017

The weekend just been has been a pretty good weekend as it goes. Just the right amount of relaxing and busy and it's definately gone too fast.

On Saturday we decided to brave IKEA with both the kids. Never again let me tell ya! IKEA is bad enough on a Saturday as it is but with children in tow..just no! Nightmare doesn't even cover it tbh.

Lily had one of those mini ikea trollies for kids and the amount of times I had to tell her off for slamming into peoples legs with it was so frustrating. She doesn't mean to, she's just a typical chid and doesn't look where she's going..at all! & on top of that Archer decided he didn't want to sit in the trolley he'd much rather be held the whole way round. Again, frustrating as he weighs the amount of a sack of bricks! He's also in that annoying inbetween stage where he can take the odd few steps but not walk properly - but in his mind he thinks he can walk like everyone else and so he want's be down on the floor rather than be carried. Which reminds me I really must get him his first pair of shoes. (Does anyone know of anywhere that sells pre-walkers that aren't hideous? haha)

We managed to get everything we came for, which luckily wasn't much. (Photo frames and succulents..the neccesities of ones home 😂 ) and we made it back in one piece, with an exhausted Lily falling asleep in the back of the car bless her.

That evening I went out for a takeaway and film night with my friends which was lovely. I find it makes such a difference to your mood when you make the effort to get out of the house and socialize every now and again.

Sunday was a pretty relaxed day. James' sister who lives in the wilds of Manc was up for the day and so the kids spent the afternoon with her and Lily's cousin Ava whilst James helped his dad out with some DIY. Being kid free for a few hours I had the opportunity to do some tidying - I sorted out the spare room which will eventually be Archers bedroom and put some of the new ikea frames up. It's definately not completed yet but it's getting there.

Here are some low quality grainy af photos from my camera roll of this weekend -
