Little Loves - Snowy Walks & Vintage dresses

Friday 9 February 2018

This weeks been one of those weeks that have passed me by entirely. I feel like half term has come hurtling towards me and now all of a sudden it's upon us.

Lily's had a lovely last week at school. She had her first school disco, which made me totally emosh because I can still remember my own school disco like it was yesterday (I insisted on a head full of 'butterfly clips' for that particular disco as they were all the rage back then ha ha) and Archers just been pottering around doing his own thing in that sweet little way that he does.

Lily is so in to her reading at the moment and my god if it isn't just the sweetest thing. She's learning all about phonics and spelling at school currently and loves looking at books when she gets home. She like's to get a book out and read it to her soft toys, pretending they are the class and she is the teacher. My heart!

I've also come across a lot of new blogs/posts I've been enjoying reading this week.
I've been looking at money saving posts to motivate myself to save, as we're hoping to start house hunting at the end of the year. Three frugal things I'm doing this week and Being crafty can save you cash, here's how  were both really good reads. Reading about Melissa's financial goals for 2018 really inspired me too.

As I've started my weight loss journey this week my current obsession happens to be Slimming World blogs. Jens post 24 easy syn free snacks has been super helpful for me whilst I'm trying to find my slimming world feet.

We watched the snow fall for hours on Tuesday until I got tired of Archers begging to go out in it and relented. We only walked for about ten minutes because it was so damn cold but Arch absolutely adored it.
Every time this section comes up in Little loves I come to a halt. Because I'm about the most uncrafty person ever! I 'made' the decision to stop drinking so much coffee lately, does that count!? I'm hoping it will calm down my migraines a bit.

I've worn nothing of too much interest lately. Mainly over sized woolly jumpers because of the artic temperatures Feb seems to be gracing us with. Have you spotted my JD Williams review from last week? They have some great items of clothing in stock.

Lily however wore this gorgeous dress at the weekend for daddy's birthday. I love the vintage look of it with the lace cuffs. You don't see much of this style around anymore and yet it's so pretty!
I heard a song on the radio the other day whilst I was cleaning that I really liked. It's These days by Rudimental & Jess Glynne and I haven't been able to get it out of my head.

It's officially half term for us! Most schools break up today but we had a training day at Lily's school so we're officially in holiday mode. Now how to entertain them for a week when the weather is forecast rain rain rain!?
