Shopping Small - Behind the business with Wear It baby

As a serial 'small shopper' I decided to start a new series focusing on different small businesses by chatting to the often over looked faces behind them. Not only is it lovely to learn more about the businesses that I purchase from regularly it's also a great way of recommending these exceptional small shops to the wider parenting blogger community.

This week I've been chatting to Zoey from Wear It Baby. Wear It baby are another gorgeous kids clothing company who Archer has brand repped for in the past. Wear It baby focus on bright patterns and bold colourful designs that are appealing to children whilst still looking ensuring they look super stylish. As the website puts it perfectly - 'Happy clothes for happy kids!'

Hi! Tell me a bit about yourself:

Hi! My name is Zoey, and I am the owner of Wear It baby. I have two cheeky children (Lochlan, aged 3 and Edie, aged 20 months).

Tell us about Wear It Baby:

I have always had a desire to design, which I finally got to explore once I had my first baby in 2015 and I started to create funky outfits for him to wear.. I really enjoyed knowing that his items were unique!

How did you come up with the name?

I came up with the name 'Wear It baby' as I wanted something with a little attitude, something that inspired children to be able to wear what they want to. So the next generation of little ones can set whatever trends they like and just Wear It baby!

Who or what inspires you?

I get a huge amount of inspiration from my little ones. Especially my daughter being able to wear her brothers clothes and look awesome doing it.

Instagram is also a massive pool of daily inspiration for me. I had no idea such an amazing community existed before my Wear It baby journey. The love for handmade is unreal over there, and seeing other people’s children wearing our makes is the best! It sparks up new ideas with us daily!
