Siblings in August

Wednesday 15 August 2018

It makes me sad that it's time for a midway August update already. The fact that we're halfway through the last summer month means the colder snap and rainier days are approaching and I'm not quite ready to give up the heat yet. Not at all actually.

I mentioned in a recent update that the best part of the holidays has been the weather. It's spoiled us. It's allowed us to do so much, to be outdoors for 95% of every day. It's meant the days have gone faster, the world has seemed brighter and the kids have been getting on better. (and
I've unintentionally lost weight because I've been so damn busy, woohoo!)

This months photos were taken in a few different places. The first few at Meanwood Park, which I've mentioned a lot on here. The second few at Hetchell Woods, a new-but-old (childhood) wood we explored last weekend and immediately fell in love with.

As I've mentioned before the kids tend to get on better when they're outside. They stop being enemies that are trying to destroy each others lego towers and steal whatever the other is playing with and instead become a team - building stick dens together and chasing each other around.

Although it's about time they got into the habit of playing together nicely indoors too, as Autumn is well and truly on its way!
