Siblings in May

Sunday 15 May 2016

I did exactly what I told myself I wouldn't do this month and totally forgot about this months sibling photo! I remembered quite late yesterday afternoon and luckily it was a really nice day weather wise and we were already out in the garden so I still had the opportunity to take a picture albeit a very rushed one.

The size of Archer in this photo amazes me! I look back just two months ago to our March photo of Lily holding him and he was teeny! Look at him now. Stop growing please little boy!

May has been a really fast month for us and I'm pleased we're getting to spend more time outdoors now it's getting warm again. My parents were out of town yesterday so we took advantage of their huge garden whilst they were away! It was a nice afternoon, me Arch and James sat on a picnic blanket and watched Lily who spent ages making herself an assault course out of several hoops and cones. Last month whenever I'd take Arch outside he'd kick up a fuss - I dont think he was a fan of the breeze on his face but I've noticed the more time he spends outside the more he's starting to enjoy it and he spent ages on the picnic blanket yesterday just chatting away to himself.

This month Lily's discovered she can use Archer as part of her games. He spends a lot more time lying on the floor on his mat of late and she likes pretending he's a mountain and getting her toy figures to climb up him. Or else making a circle with her animals around him and pretending he's trapped. She always offers him a cup of tea and one of her wooden biscuits when she's at her ikea kitchen and she pretends to answer herself in his little baby voice ("yes please Lily!") I think she likes the fact he can be more involved with her play time and he's happy to lie there and oblige (most of the time!)

We've all been ill this month. Between us we've had chest infections (Me, James and Arch) an eye infection and conjunctivitis (Lily) and sinusitis (me again) It sounds groce but we've basically just been passing our germs back and forth and its making it hard to get rid of them. I've been poorly since James' sisters wedding at the end of last month so I'm ready to get back to myself again now (body are you listening?)

We have a little caravan trip coming up at the end of next week. My mums obsessed with wowcher, and I mean really obsessed..the amount of crap she buys off there! She found us a little 4 day stay at a caravan near the seaside on wowcher and you know what? I'm really flipping looking forward to it. After all this illness it will be nice to have a change of scenery and of course it will be Archers first experience of the seaside. Here's hoping for some good weather!
