Recently I've been encouraging Lily to read stories to me rather than the other way round and I've seen such a positive response from her. Obviously she's only 2 and cant read yet but she looks at the pictures on each page and makes up her own story as to what she thinks is happening which is just so adorable. I've noticed that she's become much keener on books since she gets to tell me the stories and will spend a lot more time than she used to looking at them and 'reading' out loud. Its great to see her imagination grow and some of the stories she comes out with really do make me laugh! She always starts every story with 'one day' ♥
If you have a toddler who doesn't show much interest in reading, this could be the way forward for you too!
