Weekly Round Up

Thursday 23 April 2015

These last few weeks have been so lovely. Really really lovely. This week in particular the weather has reached up to 25 degrees and every day has been scorching. What is it about blue skies and warm weather that makes such a difference to everyone's mood?!

We spent most of the day in the garden on Monday. I've said it before but Lily's play house really was one of our best buys for her, she plays with it all the time! Now that the weathers warmer and we're using the garden more I want to start making it look pretty. I've already purchased some gnomes which we've put at the bottom of our tree but I'd like to plant more flowers and maybe get some outdoor fairy lights too.

On Tuesday my mum took me and Lily to go and choose my birthday present which lily found very exciting haha. We went to Dunelm mill as I knew I went some sort of table so that I can sit at it and do my blogging on my laptop rather than constantly having it on my knee. I found a pretty vintage one that will go nicely in our bedroom, although they didn't have it in stock so I've ordered it online and it should be here by next week. (It's this one if anyone wants to take a look.)

My mothers day ring from James arrived on Wednesday. It took a while to get here as it came from Israel but now that its here I love it. He got it from Etsy and it's Lily's birthstone and is absolutely gorgeous, I'm really pleased with it!

Today, which is Thursday I went to get my roots done for my birthday which is tomorrow. I actually got persuaded by my hairdresser to have a hair cut too whilst I was there as the ends of my hair are seriously damaged and it's stopped it from growing. I was quite nervous as it hasn't been cut in forever and I ended up going really short (for me!) The shortest I've been since I was 14 to be precise but I'm really pleased with how much healthier it looks and hopefully it will grow quicker now and be in better condition.

I bought some material for my craft projects a while ago and this evening I decided to make some of the left over material into a head wrap for Lily. It was actually really quick and easy so I'm hopefully going to make lots more..it will save me a fortune on buying them in the future!

So that's my week thus far! It's been a lovely one and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow..although the thought of turning 25 scares me a bit. Wrong side of your 20's and all that;)

  1. Oi, oi, oi - steady now, I'm 28 this year! ;)

I love the desk you chose from Dunelm - hope it helps when you're blogging.

Love the ring, definitely worth the wait, eh? :)
