Siblings in April

This month is the month I'm really starting to see some proper interaction between Lily and Arch and I love love love it. It melts my heart!

As you can see by the milestone card in this picture Arch is currently in the smiling and giggling stage. It doesn't take much to make him beam and Lily loves getting that response from him - she'll sing and dance and pull funny faces at him and she's so proud of herself when she gets rewarded with a massive smile. Her favourite thing to do at the moment is to tickle his face with her hair.. ! I dont think Arch likes it as much as she thinks he does though haha.

I've noticed recently that he just loves watching her. He'll lie on his mat really quietly and just follow her with his eyes, even when she's not engaging with him and when he cries the first thing Lily will say is 'he just wants a big sister cuggle doesn't he?'

Oh my heart!

I think in the past few weeks Lilys really got used to his crying too. It used to really bother her and she'd get quite upset and put her fingers in her ears or even start crying herself but now she's just totally ignores it!!

Lily's gone back to nursery after two weeks off at Easter and she's really pleased to go back. I think having that bit of separation from Arch again is what she needed as it gives her chance to just be herself rather than being big sister. She seems much more loving and comforting towards him after she's got back after a day at nursery too. She asks him if he's missed her and if he's had a good day. I can't wait till he can reply!

I can't wait to see what next month brings for these two.
