Summer Clothing with Simply Be

I tend to think of myself as much more of an autumn dresser than a summer dresser. Give me oversized cable knits and skinny jeans over summer dresses, shorts and skirts any day. Or that’s what I thought anyway. Until I took a look at Simply Be’s summer collection.

You’d be forgiven for not thinking of Simply Be straight away when you think ‘summer wardrobe.’ I hadn’t either, in fact I’ll be honest and say I hadn’t really heard of them at all until they got in contact. However when they asked me to take a look through their summer range I really, genuinely, was pleasantly surprised. So many gorgeous items – so much to choose from!

Let me take you through what I chose

First up I chose a navy printed dress. This was me branching out. I do wear a lot of dresses but I tend to stick to the same styles – pinafore dresses or preppy style ones with collars. They are quite literally my safety blanket! However this dress in particular caught my eye. I love LOVE the pattern and the fact that is can be worn to dress up with heels or dress down with pumps or ankle boots really appealed. After wearing it, branching out doesn’t seem quite so scary anymore.

I also wanted to choose a casual outfit for my collection that could still be seen as summer wear. I went for a pair of skinny jeans with a floral print down the side. Although embroidered floral print is very in at the moment, I’ve not seen a pair quite like this before and Simply Be have a lot of different embroidered jeans in their jeans collection. Skinny jeans are my statement day to day wear and I like that these ones are a bit different to the ones I already own! I matched it with a plain black v neck jersey top, perfect for our current hot weather.

Finally I chose a pair of trainers.

 I quite simply love trainers. My trainer collection is fairly excessive and you could argue that I don’t need any more than I already have, but this nude pink colour is so up my street that I had to have them. Simply Be's summer shoe collection is fantastic, especially if you're obsessed with flats like myself.
