The through my phone series has been on a bit of a unplanned hiatus as I've been in the habit of taking the big camera out with me lately more or less meaning my camera roll has been eerily empty.

However I was scrolling my camera roll this morning, avoiding tidying up the play-doh that Lily  'absolutely promised' she'd put away before school and came to the conclusion that October, my favourite month of the year, would be the perfect month to get back in to the phone series again. I actually ended up spending a good hour on my through the phone tag and it made me rather emotional. All the imperfect grainy selfies, photos of the kids play fighting, jumping on furniture and generally being happy. The lost ordinary moments that are captured and then deleted or lost in the ether because the quality isn't insta worthy enough. I'd have forgotten about so many of these moments it wasn't for these years worth of collages collected through this tag.

October Through my Phone

I'm a little late with this months through my phone, but better late than never hey!

Looking through the past month on my camera roll makes me smile. Like, literally beam from ear to ear. I spent most of last months update moaning about how I wanted more outdoor photos in my camera roll - and this month I got my wish!

In fact I'd say my camera roll in March is 75% outdoors. Most from Filey, and a fair few from the garden (yes we've actually been able to be in the garden recently, helloo little luxuries) and with the arrival of blue skies, the air seems fresher and my head feels clearer.

I started the year feeling, for want of a better term, pretty sluggish and although I'm not a hundred percent back to myself I feel I'm getting there. Energy levels, motivation, all of it.

March through my phone

I am CRAVING outdoor photos lately. Especially if I look back through the recent months of my through the phone series. We've all been cooped up in the house for far too long and claustrophobia has it's claws around us all. If I dream about Spring hard enough do you think it will appear?

February has been better than January though. Marginally. They've been very similar months if I'm honest but I feel like we're getting into more of a routine of late. Both with Lily being back at nursery after half term and with Archers sleeping at night which has been nothing short of abismal. Things are slowly changing for the better.

February through my Phone

So it's a new year and I'm so glad to be continuing on with '..through my phone.' My camera roll is as full as ever, bursting at the seams, this month especially. I'm not entirely sure why I seem to have taken just SO many pictures this month - I didn't even realise till I looked back at my camera roll but there you go.

January has seen my girl go back to nursery and my boy turn one. It's seen James work longer hours at work, Arch drop his afternoon nap (noo) and us make a decent start on sorting out the house. It's also seen us lose our beloved grandma who we all thought the world of. So it's been a mixed bag to say the least.

January through my phone

Oh December. The month that was 90% illness and 10% christmas cheer. This post is late up and I feel like I've talked enough about this month in my last few posts so I wont go into much detail with this one. I'll just spam you with pretty but very over edited phone pictures instead. However if you are wanting to read about our December, although I should warn you it is a lot of just me moaning then feel free to check out this post and this one. I'm glad I've kept this post going as I said back in Summer it's a jolly good way to make use of all the Iphone photos that just sit in my camera roll gathering dust.

As you'll probably see from the photos December was another month of lots of indoor play. Mainly thanks to the weather and the various bugs me and the kids seem to keep passing back and forth. It was also a month of a lot of mustard yellow clothing. Which I hadn't quite realised till I looked back at this collage...
