February through my Phone

Monday 27 February 2017

I am CRAVING outdoor photos lately. Especially if I look back through the recent months of my through the phone series. We've all been cooped up in the house for far too long and claustrophobia has it's claws around us all. If I dream about Spring hard enough do you think it will appear?

February has been better than January though. Marginally. They've been very similar months if I'm honest but I feel like we're getting into more of a routine of late. Both with Lily being back at nursery after half term and with Archers sleeping at night which has been nothing short of abismal. Things are slowly changing for the better.

I don't feel like there's all that much to say about this month's photos. I think my camera roll/Iphone storage is breathing a sigh of relief because photos in general have been few and far between. The bottom centre picture was taken at Leeds city museum and I feel like it deserves a mention simply because we've spent so much time there this month. It's mine and my brothers favourite place to take the kids as there's so much for them to do. Play areas without the grubbiness of soft play places and interactive games that Lily enjoys. & we can sit back with a coffee whilst they play so it's pretty much win win. You do feel like it's a bit of parenting secret when you discover a place for your children to go that's quiet don't you? haha. I'm sure March will be featuring a lot of museum trips too.

The left photograph on the middle row shows Lily's new dolls house shelf. Or Sylvanian house as Lily currently uses it for since it's too heavy to go on the wall.I bought it from Ikea a while ago and completely forgot about it until I came across it in its box under the stairs last weekend. James built it and painted it a forest green colour and I'm chuffed with how it looks.
The centre photograph on the middle row is my cousins new living room. Her and her husband Drew, who happens to be James' best friend, finally moved this month and their new house is flipping amazing. It's the house of my dreams with exposed beams, a farm house style kitchen and lots of wide open space and honestly the work they've done to it is absolutely incredible. You can see the before and after tour of their living room here on my Becca's YouTube channel. Even better is that it's only a five minute walk away from my house so there's opportunity for plenty of coffee mornings at their gaff!

Finally a special mention needs to go to TurtleDove London because their new Spring 17 range is gorgeous and it's basically all the kids have worn this month. Their matching noughts and crosses dungarees are my absolute favourites!

I hope March will be kinder to us with the weather. I need lighter, brighter and generally warmer days in my life now. Especially as we've booked a cottage get away at the end of March at the seaside.

Enough is enough now, Winter.

Kindly do one.
